MY STORY

My journey to becoming the knife maker I am today had humble beginnings in
a garden shed…. Well lets take it back to the real beginning, I have grown up
going camping, fishing and bushcrafting from my time in the air cadets to
roaming the hills of Scotland with my friends. I used store bought factory
knives for years until my friend brought a custom knife. After trying it out my
eyes were opened. Time and work got in the way until covid, where I found
myself like many of you, off work with too much time on my hands. To keep
myself sane I bought a shed and some basic tools and away I went. It has been
a journey and my absolute joy being able to hone and develop my
craftsmanship over the past four years while building my workshop,
continuously developing my knowledge, skills and experience which now
allows me to create the highest quality custom made products for the
discerning Coppertop customer. I should also mention that my friend who
introduced me to custom made knives on that camping trip now uses one of
mine which leaves me feeling humbled.
